Michael D. Tripp

Michael D. Tripp is the founder of Tripp I Business Law.  He has advised on a wide variety of corporate law matters.  With 15 years of experience in private practice and in-house, Mike has developed considerable transactional experience having engaged on transactions with a deal value in excess of $4.5 billion – including approximately $1 billion involving New Brunswick companies.

Mike is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Law Society of New Brunswick and is a registered Canadian trademark agent.  He has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Osgoode Hall Securities Law & Regulation course, the Osgoode Hall Private Equity course, the AUTM Technology Transfer course, the LES Licensing Executives .Course, a Faculty of Stanford University lead Negotiation Skills workshop and is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.  Mike received a BA and BCom from Saint Mary’s University and a LLB and LLL from the University of Ottawa.  He provides legal services through Michael D. Tripp Professional Corporation.

Matthew Chippin

We are pleased to announce that Mathew Chippin will be joining Tripp business law for his 2020/21 articling year. A proud Frederictonian. Matthew has considerable experience in real property development and holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of New Brunswick. He also holds a J.D. From Dalhousie University and LLM first-class honours from University College Cork.

Matthew has engaged in an EU corporate insolvency working group. In which he represented the country of Ireland. He has also completed the Canadian securities course. Fluently bilingual, Matthew is a strong supporter of New Brunswick business and looks forward to working with Tripp Law in this regard.
